  7. EDI/e is a full-feature language-based EDI/Electronic messaging System.  The
  8. following are among its features.  Data Communications/Routing features
  9. predefined communications scripts for all major networks.  The distributed
  10. processing is compatible with UNIX Mail.  Translation element of EDI/e
  11. incorporates a powerful language, called e, tailored specifically for EDI
  12. translation of all standard transaction sets defined in ANSI X12, and EDIFACT.
  13. The translation engine also permits user maintained translation of proprietary
  14. EDI or application data formats.  These is also Conditional mapping for loops,
  15. segments, and elements.  Application integration is also facilitated through
  16. pattern matching.  Map directly from a print file or to a user-defined flat
  17. file.  Trading partner administration enables you to specify standards,
  18. communications, interchange controls, test, or inquire production status.
  19. Audit Functions allow for the EDI activity to be monitored and logged which
  20. enables the creation of reports based on any parameters (document type,
  21. trading partner, date range, session, network, etc.) The automatic or
  22. user-defined functional acknowledgments and acknowledgment reconciliation are
  23. also a standard aspect of the EDI/e.
